Cows Crash Teen Drinking Party, Get Trashed

24 May

Police in Boxford, Massachusetts had to respond to a truly bizarre call the other evening. The town’s police received a call around 9 p.m. on a Sunday evening, reporting that six cows were loose on the Main Street of the town of 8,000.

Officers responded and tracked the cows for a while, but then the herd of six made a mad dash away from the cops. They stumbled upon a gathering of 12 to 13 teenage girls who had been enjoying their Sunday evening with drinking games in a backyard.

The cows crashed the party and began drinking some of the beer. The girls were startled.

“I saw one cow drinking the beer on its way down as it spilled off the table,” Lt. James Riter told WickedLocal Boxford (who has a photo).  “Some of the cows were also picking through the empties in the recycling bin.  They just went in and helped themselves.”

Apparently, the cows didn’t want to leave.

“Because the cows were having such a good time at the [party] house, it was hard to get them to leave,” area resident Peter Perkins said. “Once we got them started, there was a lot of hollering and yelling to keep them moving. We had a cruiser positioned at the front and back of the cows.”

If These Two Videos Don’t Make You Cry, You Have No Heart

8 May

Two beautiful videos tonight. They should make you well up with emotion because they are that poignant.

1) Welcome Home Solider: A young man serving his country in Kuwait surprises his father-in-law with a surprise visit. The bulky, grown man is overcome with emotion.

2) Kids With Cancer: The children at Seattle Children’s Hospital make an inspirational video against cancer. It’s set to Kelly Clarkson’s anthem “Stronger.” Whatever you think is going wrong in your life, keep it in perspective. These kids, battling one of the hardest things a person can battle, are staying strong through love and courage. That’s an inspiration to us all.

Katy Perry Covers “Niggas in Paris”

19 Mar

Pop princess Katy Perry apparently has a thug side. Who knew? She appeared on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge where she covered Kanye West and Jay-Z’s popular “Niggas in Paris.”

What do you think of her censored version of the rap classic?

Fabrice Muamba “Critically Ill” After Suffering Heart Attack During Soccer Match

18 Mar

Fabrice Muamba

A FA Cup quarter-final match between the Bolton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur was abandoned after midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed during the 41st minute of the match. The soccer player remained in critical condition on Sunday morning.

Doctors and paramedics performed sustained resuscitation efforts on Muamba for well over five minutes on the field before removing him. Muamba was “not breathing” as he left the field and was taken to London’s Chest Hospital. Doctors were able to eventually get his heart working again. The Guardian reports Muamba’s heart was not working independently for two hours after the cardiac event.

Club Manager Owen Coyle later told the media, “Fabrice is critically ill. The next 24 hours are going to be absolutely crucial. We’ve obviously been inundated with people wishing him well and we hope that if everybody can pray strongly tonight that Fabrice is able to recover. It’s very serious. There’s not getting away from that. He’s critically ill and God willing he makes it through.”

The crowd of 36,000 held their heads in silence as Muamba was removed.

Goofy Video From Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale Helps Make Carly Rae Jepsen’s Career

12 Mar

A winning recipe for launching a pop music career? Apparently, getting a bunch of the biggest tween stars in the world to dance in the silliest way possible to the perfect pop song is a good way to go.

Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Alfredo Flores, Ashley Tisdale, the guys from Big Time Rush (?) and other huge tween stars somehow came together (after what seemed to be a fun evening) and recorded this low budget lip sync to Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.”

There is an official music video, but it has 19 million views fewer than the tween sensations’ YouTube inspiration.

It is pretty much pop gold. You can pretend to hate it, but you’re pretending.
