Mariah Yeater Claims Justin Bieber Fathered Her Child

2 Nov

It seems like every male teen star will undoubtedly have some sort of paternity lawsuit at some point, and Justin Bieber‘s has already arrived.  20-year-old Californian Mariah Yeater alleges she took Bieber’s virginity after a Los Angeles concert just over a year ago and that the encounter resulted in her three-month-old child, Tristyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater.

The alleged encounter occurred on October 25, 2010. Thirty-six weeks and two days later, on July 6 of this year, Yeater gave birth to a baby boy.

If it happened, the encounter didn’t sound very romantic. According to her lawsuit, a security guard told Yeater that the singer wanted to meet her. They quickly began kissing and Bieber suggested they find somewhere more private. That ended up being a bathroom where Bieber insisted on having sex without a condom, since it was his first time and he wanted to “feel everything.” Apparently, the tryst lasted around 30 seconds.

“So Im [sic] going to ignore the rumours…and focus on what is real an opportunity to help by doing what i love. Judge me on the music! Love yall!” Bieber tweeted this morning.

His rep told Radar: “While we haven’t yet seen the lawsuit, it’s sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims. We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.”

Earlier this year, the religious Bieber told Rolling Stone “‘I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them.”

A court date has been set for December 15. Ironically, under California law, if Yeater’s suit is proven true, she could face statutory rape charges (Bieber was only 16 when the encounter occurred; she was 19).

Marco Fabian’s Totally Inappropriate Soccer Celebration

24 Oct

Chivas star forward Marco Fabian was really excited after scoring a goal against Mexican rival Estudiantes Tecos last week. So, he celebrated by pretenting to shoot his teammate Alberto Medina in the head. Needless to say, in a country currently plagued by violent drug gangs and mass executions, the celebration was considered in very poor taste.

“It didn’t cross our mind what people would have ended up thinking,” Fabian said after the game, in an apology. “The truth is Alberto and I made a bet that the first to put in a goal would celebrate that way.”

“We regret the celebration carried out by our players Marco Fabian and Alberto Medina after the goal Fabian scored against the Estudiantes Tecos team,” Chivas said, according to Sky News. “[They] will be reprimanded by the institution, because they are an example for the children and young people of our country.”

Fabian’s goal put his team ahead 2-0. A soccer player in Colombia died after being shot in the head last week.

Mark Block Stars In Bizarre Herman Cain Campaign Ad

24 Oct

Is this real? That was my first reaction upon seeing this political advertisement for the first time. A quick Internet search confirms that the man, Mark Block, is actually Herman Cain‘s chief campaign manager.

The ad features Block quirkily touting the benefits of Cain and saying “We’ve run a campaign like nobody’s ever seen.” Definitely. Then, at the fourty second mark, Block takes a puff from a cigarette and the whole then ends with The Joker Cain creepily flashing a smile at the camera.

Also, the music.

Viral sensation is born.

Nobody at Microsoft Store Opening Cares About Microsoft

20 Oct

So this is the type of thing you can get away with when you’re an incredibly wealthy corporation. Microsoft opened a store today right across from an Apple Store at the University Village shopping center in Seattle. It looks a lot like an Apple Store.

This opening is happening right in their own backyard, after all Microsoft is based just across Lake Washington from Seattle. I’m sure Microsoft wanted a great turnout. Perhaps coincidentally, the company also decided to offer a Black Keys concert and a OneRepublic concert the very next day— for free. What’s the catch? You have to be one of the first people in line to score your two free tickets to one of the shows.

Lines for the opening started forming the night before. Some people waited overnight for the grand opening. The Microsoft promotion worked like a charm. There were tons of people waiting in line for the store to open. Then, reporter David “Goldy” Goldstein from The Stranger asked them what Microsoft product they were most excited to buy.

Can you guess what they answered? Is this a brilliant promotional move by Microsoft or an epic fail because no one cares about their actual products?
