That’s average, if you’re between 13 and 17. The average female teen sends 4,050 texts a month, while the average male only sends 2,539. Those numbers reflect an increase of 8 percent from last year alone.
Also, data usage has quintupled over the same period from 14 to 62 MB per month. Finally, teens now list texting as the primary reason they get a cellphone. Safety ranks second.
