The Song of Silence

17 Nov

Well, everyone has always said the British are unconventional.

Fighting it’s way into the Top 20 charts in the UK is a new song called “2 Minute Silence” by the Royal British Legion. What’s unusual about it? Well, for one thing, there is no noise in the song. It’s completely silent.

There is a music video, though. Find it below.

The single raised awareness and honored the fallen in honor of Remembrance Sunday on November 14.  Unfortunately, it did not hit the top of the charts. Rihanna took that honor.

Ever feel like you haven’t heard a song forever, only to hear it many times in a row?

That song for me is “Run Around” by Blues Traveler. It was my first song obsession.

Thanks to a tweet, I discovered this song. Can’t beat young Brits.

In case you missed it.  The opening to the Emmys was really well-done.
